AGENT SPOTLIGHT | MEET OUR HOLLYWOOD AGENT, LBA!

THE RENTAL GIRL PRESENTS: AGENT SPOTLIGHT

Meet our Hollywood/Weho Leasing Agent, Lindsay Bartlette Allen (AKA LBA)

We had the pleasure of sitting down with LBA, and her adorable rescue pup Sunshine, the other day to chat about what she loves most about her neighborhood and working at TRG.

Tell us a little bit about yourself!

I grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL. I’ve lived in NY, Chicago, and LA. I founded a theater company that still operates out of Chicago, and I’m a currently working on co-writing and starring in a musical that’s based on a true story and partly auto-biographical! I also have an adorable rescue pup named Sunshine and am about to start volunteering with a shelter in my spare time.

What’s your favorite aspect of being a realtor?

I love getting to see Hollywood with a backstage pass! Seeing so many homes/apartments and meeting new people all the time gives me a intimate understanding of what it means to be a true resident of Hollywood.

What’s your all time favorite spot in Hollywood?

Oh gosh, I can’t decide! Can I pick two?! My #1 is definitely LONO Hollywood! It’s a FABULOUS speakeasy Tiki Bar on Hollywood and Whitley!!! BUT, I will say I also love theater row on Santa Monica! There’s some great comedy theaters, like The Pack. There’s a Hollywood Fringe festival that happens in that area every June and this upcoming year will be their 10th year hosting the festival!

How would you describe your neighborhood?

Hollywood is full of charming, residential oasis, has plenty to offer for the socialite- shopping, shows, dining/cocktail bars, parks and farmer’s markets/street festivals/flea markets etc, and is surrounded by glitz and glam!! There’s always something new popping up! People are friendly and the neighborhood is very walkable! Hollywood has plenty of bike paths for the cyclist or scootist!

If your neighborhood was on a dating app, who would be the perfect match to move into the hood?
Someone trendy who likes the hustle and bustle of city life.
What is something that most people don’t know about you?
My sister lives in LA too! We both love taking our rescue dogs (Sunshine and Amador) out with us to all the pet friendly spots in Hollywood. Our ultimate favorite pup friendly spot is Javista Organic Coffee Bar on Sunset – I often hold lease signings at there as well!
How long have you lived in LA? And what’s one thing that surprised you about the city this month?
I moved to LA in December 2017!
What’s on your LA Bucket List this year?
Attending the Hollywood Forever 19th Annual Dia de los Muertos Event!
What’s your biggest piece of advice for someone interested in applying to a property you’re leasing?
Personalize your cover letter to stand out (maybe even send a cute photo!) and be up front about everything!
What’s the most quintessential LA thing about your neighborhood?
Hollywood Blvd, baby! THE spot for picking up cheap souvenirs to send home to grandma or a lifesaver if you need a masquerade mask at a moment’s notice!
Best cliche Hollywood activity? A show at The Hollywood Bowl or a movie at El Capitan/Chinese Theater?
El Capitan
Best lookout place in Hollywood?
Runyon Canyon
Best street for splurging? Melrose or Sunset?
Melrose Ave!
Best way to spend a Sunday morning/afternoon?
Hollywood Farmer’s Market, located at Ivar and Selma.
Best way to get around the city?
I use my car a lot, but my favorite way to get around is with a BIRD scooter because you see everything that way! It’s a great way to get to intimately know the neighborhood block by block.
Which historical Hollywood landmark is your favorite? Why?
The Hollywood Sign!!!! It’s so iconic and it’s a great landmark for navigating around the city!
LBA’s bright and sprightly personality makes her the perfect agent for the loud and vibrant city that Hollywood is.
Check out all of LBA’s current listings on our website.
